The sound of the name "Velier" gives a very special feeling to the rum nerds. Time and again, masterminded behind the company, Luca Gargano, manages to shock and enrich the space world with releases that set new standards of quality, transparency and nerdy.

Velier's reputation for exceptional quality was already cemented in the '00s with a string of uncompromising demerara rum. These bottles are today the culmination of coal space and are changing owners for astronomical sums at liquor auctions worldwide. Later, the company has become known for tropical stored Caroni, a distinctive rum from a now closed distillery in Trinidad, with notes of smoke, tar and bacon. Along with Foursquare's Richard Seale, Luca is a staunch (and loud) opponent of additives or cheats with age designations, which is why Velier's latest series of rum, Habitacion Velier, puts transparency at the forefront. The label proudly exposes every detail about the production, from angel's share to ester content.
