Aida Highland Park 1987
Great single malt from Silver Seal
The Silver Seal Whiskey Company (as the company is called) is, as I said, an Italian independent bottler of both whiskey and rum. The company started by bottling whiskey under the Silver Seal name in 2000 and is owned and operated by Massimo Righi, who buys casks produced at various distilleries. Silver Seal originates from another brand, namely Sestante, which Massimo himself co-founded in 1979.

Highland Park is a highly recognized and award winning distillery. Their whiskey is known and loved all over the world. Established in 1798 at Orkney, the distillery is today one of the most remote distilleries in Scotland. This northern island provides access to a unique peat from the distillery's own bog, as well as water from the same spring that has fed the distillery for more than 200 years.
Classic Highland Park flavor notes can be described as honey-like with orange peel and with a slightly smoked character. Silver Seal's Highland Park 28 Years Old is perhaps the best whiskey from Highland Park ever. There are bottled bottles of this single malt whiskey, which come from the fad number -. The whiskey was further distilled in 1987 and bottled in 2016, giving a shelf life of 28 years. The color is very dark - an extremely nice color, which is characterized by a whiskey that has spent many years in oak barrels. This whiskey is a single cask bottling and tapped at dish strength of 47.7%.
Only 191 bottles have been dropped. This bottling is also available in a 1.5 liter magnum bottle - there are only 15 bottles in the world.
