The predecessor is Authenticus 21 years, which has enjoyed high popularity with the Danes. The older version here is unique in expression and character and the 4 years at the top have done a great job!
Nose: Elegant aroma. Fresh mountain herbs and a sweet peat scent that is really comfortable.
Taste: A fantastic fusion of rich peat and fresh herbs. Sweet wild honey shows up and gives the whiskey a good contrast to the lively intense expression.
Aftertaste: Super good weight and development that leaves a long, powerful and lasting impression in the mouth.
Benriach - Speyside distillery from 1898, which was deserted from 1900-1965. Since Billy Walker and co. Taking over the distillery in 2004, they have almost blown out, and today produce a wide range of malt whiskeys with different finishes, and some smoked Speyside malt whiskey, which has a softer and lighter smoke than, for example, malt whiskey from Islay.
