Antique Lions of Spirits - Blair Athol
The typical profile of Blair Athol is licorice, caramel, beer, oranges and butter.
This bottling has an immediate scent of pineapple and an oiled sensation when it hits the nose. The taste immediately strikes with licorice and cigars in cedar, hot summer days and dried fruits. The taste is wonderfully dusty and "old-fashioned" with floral notes, sweet fruit and a subtle bitterness.

The beautiful distillery Blair Athol is located in Pitlochry close to Edradour Distillery and is unrelated to the corresponding spelled city, Blair Atholl. The water that flows down the 841-meter-high mountain, Ben Vrackie, is used to produce the roughly 2.5 million liters of whiskey each year that comes out of the Blair Athol Distillery.
The distillery was founded by Robert Robertson in 1778 under the name Aldour. In 1825 he expanded and renamed the facilities to Blair Athol. The distillery has had a long association with Bell's Blended Scotch. The typical profile of Blair Athol is licorice, caramel, beer, oranges and butter.
The bottling from Antique Lions of Spirits is 28 years old, and only 216 copies exist! In addition to being a magnificent glass of old whiskey, it is also an extravagant design studio. Crafts, art and taste go together in a higher unity, and this is a matter of quality from the inside to the outside. This bottling has an immediate scent of pineapple and an oiled sensation when it hits the nose.
The taste immediately strikes with licorice and cigar box in cedar, hot summer days and dried fruits. The taste is wonderfully dusty and "old-fashioned" with floral notes, sweet fruit and a subtle bitterness. The aftertaste is characterized by fresh licorice root and the same old sensation that runs like a red thread through the drum.
