The distillate is solely the result of a molasses based fermentation as well as a kettle distillation - this is a pure single whole blood Jamaican. The old Hampden Distillery is by far the distillery in Jamaica that produces the most ester-containing rum type. Their rum is produced exclusively on unique pot stills and this on a molasses-based "muck" fermentation. Muck is taken from so-called "muck-holes" and these containers act as biological reactors and produce acids that help ferment to produce many different ester compounds during fermentation.

So you take muck from the previously mentioned muck-holes, and add the fermentation to increase the flavor development during the fermentation process. This process is unique to the rum production at Hampden Distillery, and is key to Hampden's well-known flavor profile. It creates an extremely fruity scent and taste that is unique in the space world. With an alcohol content of 51%, this is a bottleneck that appeals to the many Hampden fans out there.

It's pure single room at its best - full flavored and insanely charming! The rum was distilled back in 2000 and only 16 years later, in 2017, the dish was bottled. There are only 229 bottles of this unique - a great rum for the very largest fine checker.
